FPC soft board

FPC soft board materials include base material (polyimide material), cover film (or solder mask) and reinforcement materials, and reinforcement materials include PI reinforcement, steel sheet reinforcement and FR4 reinforcement, which can be selected according to product requirements .

FPC soft board, also known as flexible printed circuit board, flexible printed circuit board or flexible printed circuit board, is the abbreviation of Flexible Printed Circuitr.

According to the combination of substrate and copper foil, it can be divided into two categories: non-adhesive substrate and adhesive substrate. The flexibility of non-adhesive substrate is better than that of adhesive substrate. It is generally used for products with relatively high requirements. The price is also much higher than that of the adhesive base material. The difference between the adhesive base material and the adhesive base material is that the adhesive base material adds glue between the copper foil and the base material, as shown in the following figure:

The insulating material on the surface of the FPC soft board has two types: cover film and solder mask. Under normal circumstances, the cover film is selected as the surface insulation material, because when the solder mask is bent, it is easy to cause oil loss, which leads to the destruction of the insulating layer, such as For the products that need to be bent more severely in the picture, the cover film must be used as the surface insulation material. Solder mask is generally used for dense SMD positions that cannot be made with cover film. Such positions do not need to be bent, and there is no insulating layer to be damaged. The risk of damage can be guaranteed, and the solder bridge between the SMD pads can be guaranteed to prevent short circuit during soldering.

FPC soft board is widely used in mobile phones, computers, digital cameras, printers, security facilities and other products because of its ultra-thin, light, and bendable superior characteristics.
